Tanger Grand Tour

The Tanger tour begins with sightseeing and a drive to Cap Spartel which is north-west Tanger. This is where the Atlantic Ocean meets the Mediterranean Sea. We will ride camels near the Atlantic ocean then visit the Hercules cave (2500 years old) where Hercules is said to have lived.

 

We will explore the medina which is the oldest city. This is where the walking tour will begin. We will make our way through the Kasbah (old fortress) and wander through the narrow streets and discover the rich history of the old city.

Enjoy lunch at a local restaurant with Moroccan cuisine and a breathtaking view.

 

We will visit the Archaeological Museum, old American Legation, followed by the Mendoubia Gardens and the Saint Andrews Church. 

 

You will have an opportunity to shop at local artesian markets.

 

Following this, you will have free time for shopping or relax with a glass of mint tea at a cafe. Concluding your tour your guide will escort you back to the port or your accommodations.  

Asilah

Asilah is a beautiful and well-preserved city. It's ramparts and gate work is fully intact to this day which is hundreds of years after the day they were first built. The Portuguese conquered the city in 1471 and was lost to the Spanish in 1578. The town was later taken by Moulay Ismail who gave it its present Arabic name. Asliah home to many festivals drawing participators from around the world. Spend time wandering through it's old gates and the narrow medina streets inside the walls.

Tetouan

Tetouan known as the white dove is a UNESCO- listed World Heritage Site.  It is located about 60 km east of Tanger in the far north of the Rif mountains. During our tour in Tetouan, we will visit the Mellah which is a Jewish square. It was once called Little Jerusalem. We will visit souks where locals are weavers, jewelers, and leather workers. 

We will also visit the Moroccan Arts Museum which is a display of traditional clothing and regional musical instruments. 

Chefchaouen

Chefchaouen is known as the blue city. It is snugged against the Rif mountain range in the northeast of the country. The blue-washed village is a great place to explore and relax. The medina, or old town, is winding narrow stairs lined with artisan shops. The medina is surrounded by a stone and it has several gates.
